Dallas Richard ARIZONA 1931 – 1996 SHS 1950

SHERIDAN - Services for Dallas Richard Arizona Sr., 64, will be held at 10 am on Tuesday at Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Ron Nelson officiating. Interment will be in the family plot of the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

A lifelong Sheridan resident, he died at Westview Health Care Center on May 17, 1996.

He was born in Sheridan on Oct. 21, 1931, the son of Thomas A. and Hazel Alice Mooney Arizona.

He married Mary C. Batt in Sheridan on July 19, 1954.

He worked as an engineer for the Burlington Northern Railroad for 33 years.

He enjoyed writing poetry, fishing, hunting and his grandchildren.

He was a member of the Eagles, the B.L.E. 624 and Trinity Lutheran Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister.

Survivors include his wife of Sheridan, two daughters, Linda Kay Ahlquist and Tempe Jean Arizona, both of Sheridan; two sons, Dallas Richard Arizona Jr. of Sheridan and Michael David Arizona of Seattle; one brother, Tom Arizona of Billings, Mont., and eight grandchildren.

Memorials in memory of Dallas Richard Arizona can be given to the American Legion Baseball program, in care of Delphine Toner at the First Interstate Bank in Sheridan 82801.
