SHERIDAN -- A graveside memorial service for Edith (Babe) I. Austin, 75, will be held Saturday, June 23, 2007, at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with Rev. Philip Wold officiating.

She died June 7, 2007, at her residence because of cancer.

She was the youngest of three children born to Harry and Viva (Johnson) Anderson, growing up in Sheridan and attending Sheridan schools.

She worked many jobs in her lifetime and always worked very hard. She was a very friendly person who loved garage sales, camping, the mountains and her flowers that she tended every year. She liked to sew and play bingo occasionally.

She married James Austin in 1950 in Sheridan and they had four children.

Survivors include two daughters, Gail Austin and Helen Austin, both of Sheridan; one son, George Austin of Oklahoma; six grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, one son, James Austin; one brother, Andy Anderson and one sister, Dorothy Huson.

Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
