Harry D. Williams Sr., 80, of Sheridan, WY, died Friday, January 15, 2010 in Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Harry was born July, 10 1929 in Ranchester, WY to Harry Sr. and Lydia (Leis) Williams.

Harry grew up and attended schools in Sheridan. After completing his education, Harry worked for Sheridan Furniture until he was activated in 1950 in the National Guard at which time he was stationed at Fort Lewis, WA.

Harry married Helen Moore on October 14, 1950 in Olympia Washington.

After being discharged, he returned to Sheridan and went to work for Peter Kiewit and Sons until they moved to California and worked as a heavy equipment operator mining talc.

He retired from Pfizer and they moved back to Sheridan in 1988 where he went to work for Brown Drug & the Dairy Queen.

His passions were fishing, photography, visiting historical places, and spending time with his family.

Harry was preceded in death by his parents and granddaughter Christal.

Harry is survived by his wife Helen of Sheridan; sons Harry Jr. of Sheridan and Donald G. of Stillwater, OK; daughter Linda Heemeyer of Sheridan; 7 grandchildren; and 15 great grandchildren.

Private family service will be held at a later date. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
