Nancy (Veach) Russell, 79, of Minneapolis, died peacefully at home May 22, 2010, following a brain aneurism.
Survived by husband, Jim; sons, Jazz (Karen) and Scott (Martha), and sister, Virginia DuBois of Sauk Centre. BA, Sociology, Northwestern U '53, member Delta Gamma, Phi Beta Kappa.
Always a Wyoming cowgirl at heart, Nancy loved helping neighbors, birding, hiking, fossil hunting, fishing, cooking, jigsaw puzzles, gardening, rabbit shooing, Channel 4 staffers and everyone she knew (with maybe a couple of exceptions).
Special thanks to Firehouse 28, HCMC, Hospice of the Twin Cities, Visiting Angels, and supportive friends and relatives.
Public memorial service Friday, June 25, 3 pm, Cremation Society Chapel, 4343 Nicollet Ave S., Mpls. Private interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
