Minnie Faye Burton, 85, of Sheridan, passed away Friday, July 1, 2016 at Sheridan Manor after a lengthy illness.

She was the fourth child born to Dorothy and Leslie Sharp on a homestead outside of Decker, Montana, July 13, 1930. Minnie graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Frank D. Burton in 1949.

Minnie lived all over the state of Wyoming while her husband was a State Trooper and then moved to Klamath Falls, Oregon in 1964. Minnie resided there until 1989 after the death of her husband.

She returned to the city and the state she loved and remained in Sheridan until her death.

Minnie was an avid reader and artist. She was much beloved by family and friends.

Minnie was preceded in death by her parents, daughter, Gail Kathryn, husband, Frank Burton, sister, Donna Teini and brother, Roy Sharp.

She is survived by her daughter, Leslie Cady; son-in-law, Donald Cady; son, Kelly Burton; brother, "Bud" Leslie Sharp; sister, Priscilla Hill; grandchildren, Christopher Allensworth, Rommney Werner, Alexis Allensworth, and Jeff Cady; great grandchildren, Quinn Werner and Flynn Sesock; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
