George W. LEGERSKI 1931 - 2012 SHS 1949

Mr. Legerski was born June 25, 1931 Kleenburn, Wyoming to George J. and Anna (Zowada) Legerski. He grew up and attended schools in Monarch, Wyoming, graduated from Sheridan high School in 1949, and attended the University of Wyoming.

George married Victoria Pratt April 7, 1956. They were later divorced. He spent 25 happy years with companion, Gina Twohy.

George was president of Sheridan Meat Company from 1963 until it's closure in 1984. He then opened and operated George's Sausage until his death.

Mr. Legerski was a member of Sheridan Elk's Lodge #520. He enjoyed the Sheridan Broncs and the Wyoming Cowboys football, polka music, and hunting. He loved watching the garden grow, and visiting with friends and family.

George was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Martha Legerski, and Olga Pilch; one brother, Roman Legerski; and companion Gina Twohy.

He is survived by one son, George E. Legerski, (Becky), of Las Vegas, New Mexico; two daughters, Georgann Lee, (Gene), of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Tori Dietz, (Frank), of Worland, Wyoming; one brother, John D. Legerski, of Sheridan, Wyoming; four sisters, Elizabeth Stanko, of Gordon, Nebraska, Anne Presenkowski, of Denver, Colorado, Erma Pagliocca, of Freehold, New Jersey, and Helen Siegoski, of Buffalo, Wyoming; and grandchildren Cassandra Russell, Lacey Burtis, and Tucker, Elli, and Keely Legerski.

Funeral service for George will be 10:00 A. M. Tuesday, October 9, 2012 at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in the Elk's Section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.
