Robert J. Kedl, age 76, of Knoxville, passed away Thursday, Nov. 24, 2005, at Colonial Hills Nursing Home.

He was of the Roman Catholic faith. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a chemical engineer with ORNL for over 30 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank and Margaret Kedl.

Survivors include his sons, Michael Kedl of Maryville, and William Kedl of Evergreen, Colo.; and his former wife, Mary Kedl.

The family will receive friends from 5 until 7 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 1, 2005 at Smith Mortuary in Maryville.

The family and friends will assemble for graveside service and interment at 11 a.m. Friday, Dec. 2, 2005, at Oak Ridge Memorial Park with Father Alex Waraska officiating.

Smith Mortuary in Maryville is handling the arrangements.
