Gloria Lou HALL Novakovich 1931 - 2023 SHS 1949

On Friday, October 13, 2023, Gloria Novakovich jitterbugged her way from this life to the next, embraced by the warmth of her family

Gloria, affectionately known as Glo, was born on June 2, 1931, in Huron, SD, the eldest daughter of Platt and Edna Hall. While still in her early childhood, her family relocated to Sheridan. On August 12, 1950, Gloria married Gordon (Gordie) Novakovich, and from this union, two daughters were born. Gloria held several jobs over the years but was most fond of her time working as a bookkeeper for Big Horn Beverage. She retired in 2011 after 33 years of dedicated service at the young age of 81. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, shopping, and most importantly, spending quality time with her family. In November of 2022, Gloria relocated to Broomfield, CO, to be lovingly cared for by her family.

Gloria was preceded in death by her husband, Gordie (2014), and her daughter, Debbie Robinson (2016).

She is survived by her sister Patty Lechner of Billings, MT, and her three wonderful sons (Dave, Tom, and Michael). Gloria’s legacy continues through her daughter Lisa Miknis (and husband Greg) of Broomfield, CO, their two daughters Ashley Miknis of Pueblo, CO, Courtney DeChesaro (and husband Cameron) of Phoenix, AZ, and grandson, Ryan Kath of Sheridan.

Gloria’s final resting place will be alongside Gordon in the Elk’s section of Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, overlooking the Big Goose Valley and the Bighorn Mountains. Instead of a formal service, a celebration of Gloria’s life will be held at a later date with family.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Glo’s honor can be made to an animal shelter of your choosing. Gloria’s love, generosity, and kindness will be profoundly missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who were touched by her warmth and grace.
