Bertha (Bea) Rose McCormick, 92 years of age, completed her earthly journey on Tuesday, January 9, 2024, in Arvada, Colorado at Arbor View Senior Living.

Bea was born on May 23, 1931, Bertha Rose Gronski, in Sheridan, Wyoming, to the late John and Bertha Gronski. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1949.

She met her husband, Leo, in Cheyenne, and they married November 10, 1957, in Sheridan. They relocated first to New Jersey and then to Northglenn, Colorado, where they remained until Leo completed his earthly journey in 2011, after 53 years of marriage. Bea relocated to Arvada, Colorado, to be closer to her daughter, Terry and her family.

Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Leo, and her sisters, Evelyn and Helen.

Left to cherish her memories are her brother, Vincent; daughters, Becky, Terry, Cindy, her son, Leo; 15 grandchildren, and 9 great-grandchildren.

Bea dedicated her life to Christ through her Catholic faith, and to her family, as the living epitome of a loving and generous wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, and friend. She dedicated 30 years of her life to Colorado’s Adams County School District 12 providing nutritious meals and constant optimism to Elementary school children, as a Food Service Manager.

She had a life-long fondness of the outdoors, horses, owls, and angels; enjoyed watching an eclectic blend of movies, always had a book at hand to read, and readily shared her interests with friends and family. We loved her immensely. So much so that words fail to express the loss.
