Florence “Flo” V. Brennan, 77, of Monmouth, Ill., died June 6,2008, at Cottage Hospital in Galesburg, Ill.

She was born April 24, 1931, in Sheridan to Dale and Constance (Mazzia) Fox. She was raised and educated in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1949.

Cremation has occurred. A memorial Mass will be 11 a.m. Tuesday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church celebrated by Friar Deus Dedit-Byabato and Deacon Will Clark. Burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Monmouth. Friends may call Monday at Hoover-Hall Memorial Chapel in Monmouth, where family will be present from 5 to 7 p.m.

She married Michael Brennan on Jan. 4, 1958, in Sheridan. He died Feb. 27, 2007.

She worked as a dental assistant at Kane Dental Group in Sheridan for eight years. She moved with her husband to Monmouth in 1963 to raise a family.

She loved to sew and read and was considered an excellent cook.

Survivors include five children, Kevin Brennan of Western Springs, Ill., Diane Germann of Plainville, Ill., Cathy Betar of Monmouth, Michael T. Brennan of Monmouth, and Francis Brennan of Pekin, Ill.; five grandchildren; and one brother, Edward Fox of Fort Myers, Fla.

She was preceded in death by her husband, a granddaughter and one brother, Larry Fox.
