SHERIDAN -- At her request, no services will be held for Sheridan resident Mildred Drake, 74, who died June 29, 2005, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan.

Cremation has taken place under the direction of Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan.

Born March 11, 1931, in Gillette, she was the daughter of Rosalie (Slagle) and James Carroll.

On March 16, 1951, she married Glen Drake in Sheridan.

She enjoyed reading and loved traveling with her husband, especially on their motorcycle.

Survivors include her husband of 54 years of Sheridan; two sons, James Drake of Snohomish, Wash., and Russ Drake of Lake Forest Park, Wash.; two sisters, Rosalie Landon of Meeteetse and Effie Hicks of Phoenix; four grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
