Sheridan-native Charlene Grace Ledbetter, 76, died March 21, 2008, in Oklahoma City.

Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Wednesday in HahnCook/Street & Draper Chapel in Oklahoma City followed by burial in Rose Hill Park.

Mrs. Ledbetter was born Jan. 26, 1932, in Sheridan to Charles and Grace (Snell) Babcock. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1949.

She married Charles Edgar Ledbetter in Sheridan on Oct. 28, 1954. He died Jan. 9, 1999.

The family moved to Oklahoma City in 1961 after living in various communities in the United States and Bolivia.

Mrs. Ledbetter was an elementary school secretary at Stand Waite and West Nichols Hills for more than 20 years.

Survivors include two sons, Charles David of Oklahoma City and Mark Andrew of Alexandria, Va.; a sister, Khairman Jane Creswell, and brother, Charles William Babcock, both of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the American Breast Cancer Association.
