Beverly Anne Legters (McClintock) born on September 19, 1930 in Sheridan, Wyoming ended her journey on this earth on Monday, August 23, 2010 in Tempe, Arizona. She was 79 years old.

Beverly earned a degree in Music from The University of Wyoming. She showed her true adventurous spirit when she accepted a teaching job in Globe where she met George Legters and the two were married on June 17, 1956. Beverly spent her entire career as an elementary school teacher.

Beverly was very active in the Tempe First United Methodist Church serving on many committees, singing in the choir and playing in the hand bell choir. She was also active in the Tempe Woman’s Club, ADK (a teacher’s sorority) and the alumni group of Kappa Kappa Gamma. She also volunteered for Meals on Wheels.

Beverly was preceded in death by her husband George and is survived by her three children Anne Defer, Ron Legters and Kathy Legters. Beverly is also survived by her three grandchildren Micheal Defer, Stephen Defer and Matthew Defer.

The family asks in lieu of flowers that donations be made to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure, The American Heart Association, or any other charity of your choosing.

Services were held on August 28th at the Tempe First United Methodist Church.
