Billie Kelsey, 78, died Sunday, Sept. 14, 2008, at his Sheridan home.

Per his request, cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled. Kane Funeral Home is handling arrangements.

Born July 11, 1930, in Sheridan to Harry and Beulah Kelsey, he graduated from Sheridan High School and enlisted in the U.S. Army, which he made a career until his honorable discharge.

He married Peggy Myers Farman on Nov. 15, 1986, in Las Vegas.

He enjoyed going to casinos in Deadwood, S.D., and fishing. It was said he also enjoyed “tinkering” - building something out of nothing.

He was preceded in death by three brothers and a sister.

He is survived by his wife; three daughters, Barbara Berliner of Riverside, Calif., Gail Wasson of Carson City, Nev., and Vickie Duffy of Indiana; a son, Larry Kelsey; four stepchildren, Debbie Hanson of Sheridan, DeeVonne Degel of Story, Wade Farman of Powell, and Shana Eunivin of Granger; and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
