A memorial service for Helen Royston will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 16, in the Hillcrest Chapel. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Medford.

Mrs. Royston, 76, of Medford, died Monday (Sept. 12, 2005) in Medford, Oregon.

She was born on Oct. 11, 1928 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Fred and Emma (Sept) Dykes.

She moved to the Rogue Valley in 1949. On August 29, 1951 in Gold Hill she married Victor Royston who preceded her in death in 1995.

Mrs. Royston studied Business at Southern Oregon College.

She worked at the Rogue River Packing Co. for 20 years.

Mrs. Royston was a member of the Southern Oregon CBers, and St Peters Lutheran Church in Medford.

She loved to square dance, clogging, and talking with her friends on the phone.

Mom, grandma, sister, friend, had a heart of gold. She loved everyone, and everyone loved her.

Survivors include daughters Tala Mayer of Medford, and Reva Flatebo of Eagle Point; a sister, Mary Jane Ream of Porterville, CA; four grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Red Cross for Hurricane Katrina relief.
