William John "Bill" DEMCHOK 1929 - 2010 SHS 1948

William John (Bill) Demchok, 80, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, July 27, 2010 at the Sheridan Manor.

Bill was born in Sheridan, WY on December 24, 1929 to Mary (O'Rourke) and Andrew Demchok. He graduated from Holy Name School, Sheridan High, Sheridan College and the University of Wyoming.

He married Catherine McClusky.

He also served in the Army Signal Corp during the Korean Conflict.

Bill's first job out of college was with MDU. He later went on to own and operate Demchok Electric for 39 years.

He was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus, Elks, Quarter Back Club, and was a member of the chain gang for the Sheridan Broncs.

Bill enjoyed water skiing, traveling, woodworking, gardening, and spending time with family.

Bill is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Andrew, Frank and George; and a nephew John Gleason.

He is survived by his wife Kate, children Mike (Violet), Mary (Doug) Emme and Tim (Donna Jo) all of Sheridan, Pat (Mary Carol) of Fort Collins, CO and Margaret (Scott) Bader of Rapid City, SD.; his grandchildren Erin and Tyler Emme; Molly (Tim) Arnott and David Demchok; Tommy, Joey, and Jon Bader; and two great-grandchildren. Also nephew Tommy (Marge) Gleason, on the McClusky side and 21 nieces and nephews on the Demchok side.

A rosary will be held on Thursday, July 29, 2010 from 7 pm at Kane Funeral Home with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. A Funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 30, 2010 at 10:00 am at the Holy Name Catholic Church with Father Ron Stolcis officiating. Burial with Military Rites will follow at the Elks Section in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. A reception will follow internment at the Parish Hall.
