Funeral services will be in Sheridan Wednesday for the Mike Mader family of Weston, all of whom are presumed to have met death at the hands of Mr. Mader Sunday afternoon in a murder-suicide shooting at their home 35 miles north of Gillette.

The services will be held from Champion's drawing room at 2 p.m. Wednesday with the Rev. Bengt Andersen and the Rev. Robert M. Phenix of Gillette officiating. Burial of the family of four will be in the Sheridan municipal cemetery.

Michael George Mader, sr., was born Dec. 27, 1921, in Bowers, Mont., and had operated the ranch at Weston the past five years. He was married to the former Betty Jean Brown of Sheridan on June 18, 1951, in Sheridan. He was a World War II veteran.

Surviving are his mother, Mrs. John Mader of Bowers; several brothers, R. A. Mader of Gillette, Jim of Buffalo, Tom of Bowers, Bill of Ekalaka, Mont., and Bob of Weston.

Betty Jean Mader was born March 13, 1930, in Sheridan and was educated in Sheridan schools. She was a member of Campbell County Cow-Belles and of the country Home Demonstration council.

She is survived by her father, W. J. Brown, sr., of Weston, her brother, W. J. Brown, jr. also of Weston.

Michael George Mader, jr, was born July 2, 1953 in Sheridan and his sister, Myra Jean, was born July 16, 1952, also in Sheridan.
