Ralph E. BREWER 1931 2015 SHS 1948

Ralph E. Brewer, 84, died peacefully on March 10, 2015.

He was born in Alexandria, Ind., but after moving to Sheridan, Wyo., at an early age, he liked to claim Sheridan as his home. He enlisted in the Air Force and served his country in the Korean conflict. Later he attended Sheridan Community College and completed his degree at the University of Wyoming in Laramie, graduating summa cum laude. He taught briefly, but the majority of his career was working for the Social Security Administration.

He met his wife, Maggie, who he adored, in Casper, Wyo. It was a very brief courtship but their marriage lasted nearly 54 years . They had one daughter, Michelle. After retiring, they moved to Sun City West in 1993. Ralph enjoyed golf, bocce, poker, pool and playing cards with his friends until his health declined.

Music was a great part of his life. He was involved in music all during his school years and into adulthood. Everyone who knew him enjoyed his beautiful voice.

He literally lived for the times he could visit his daughter and family; their five grandchildren and later on, 11 great-grandchildren. He so dearly loved children. They were his world!

Ralph was preceded in death by his parents, Ralph and Mary Brewer Sr. and his brothers Robert and Jon.

Ralph is survived by his wife, Maggie; his brother Corwin (Gene); daughter Michelle (Andy) Paris of Billings; grandchildren Brandi, Michael, Lonette, Lanae, Ashley and 11 great-grandchildren, all of Billings.

No service is planned.

Donations in his memory may be made to Alzheimers Association or Alzheimers Disease Research.
