Jean Marilyn SMALL Ragan 1929 - 1994 SHS 1947

J. Marilyn Ragan, 65, of Glenrock died Sept. 5, 1994 at the Wyoming Medical Center following a sudden illness.

She was the daughter of Edwin H. and Alice (Schaal) Small. She grew up in Sheridan and graduated from the Sheridan High School in 1947. She then attended the University of Wyoming where she received her degree in Pharmacy in 1951.

She married Dennis Ragan on June 27, 1951 at Sheridan, Wyoming. After their marriage they lived at Moorcroft for two years and then moved to Albin, Wyoming where they lived until moving to Saratoga three years later. In 1962 she moved to Glenrock where she has made her home since.

She worked for Oscar Ray at Ray's Pharmacy in Casper from 1973 until 1982. She later worked as a pharmacist for the Deer Creek Drug in Glenrock. She also worked as a substitute teacher in the school systems where she lived. She was active in many civic organizations.

She is survived by her husband of Glenrock; a son, Mike, and daughter-in-law, Janet Ragan of Casper; a daughter Kathy and son-in-law, Jeff Fields of Laramie; her mother, Alice Small of Sheridan, two brothers and sisters-in-laws; Ed and Ann Small of Las Vegas, Nevada and Phil and Connie Small of Chehalis, Washington; six grandchildren, Robin, Ryan, Trevar, Eric, Kristi, and Ali; and eleven nieces and nephews.
