Madge M. Herden, age 80, of Sheridan, WY died Wednesday, August 19, 2009, in Billings Clinic, Billings, MT.

Madge was born March 5, 1929, in Sheridan to Lawrence & Elizabeth (Roark) Shell.

Madge grew up in the Sheridan area and graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Allen Herden in 1953 in Sheridan. They divorced in 1965.

Madge worked for Poll Motor and Valley Motor Implement before working at Decker Coal until she retired in 1990.

Madge enjoyed gardening, fishing and going to the mountains.

She was a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Madge is survived by her sons Jerry of Ranchester, WY, David of Thompson Falls, MT, Mark of Sheridan and Carl of Billings; three brothers George, Benjamin and Lewis; one sister Jeanette Zowada of Sheridan; twelve grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm on Saturday (Aug. 22nd) from Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Father Ronald Stolcis officiating. Interment will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Memorials may benefit Holy Name Catholic Church.
