Gerald Vincent SABO 1929 - 2019 SHS 1947

Gerald (Jerry) Sabo passed away on Oct. 7 at Sheridan Manor where he had resided since 2012. Thanks to Sheridan Manor for all their good care.

Jerry was born in Sheridan on March 12, 1929 to Mr. and Mrs. Steve Sabo. Jerry took violin lessons from his father for many years â€" when he wasn’t busy exploring the Tongue River cave.

A big adventure in Jerry’s early life, after graduation in 1947, was driving with his brother, Gene, and Bob Hasey all the way to New York City in a Model A Ford coupe. Jerry used to recount many memories of riding on the running board to stretch his legs.

Jerry became a projectionist at the WYO Theater and later in Great Falls, Montana, he worked at Anaconda Copper.

He enjoyed electronics and built his own radio early on, and later built his own large screen TV.

He served two years in the Army at Camp Stoneman, California.

He is survived by a sister, Patricia, in New Jersey and brothers Donald in Texas and Jim in Sheridan.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
