Floyd J. REISCH 1922 - 2008 SHS 1947

SUTHERLAND - Floyd Joseph Reisch, 85, of Sutherland passed away June 14, 2008, at the Sutherland Care Center.

He was born July 22, 1922, in O'Neill to John H. and Hazel D. Brown Reisch. They lived in O'Neill until Floyd was seven, then he moved with his family to Wyoming.

Floyd served in the United States Army with the last cavalry unit that actually used horses.

He married the love of his life, Pearl Whitford, July 11, 1944. They had three children Sandy, Linda and Junior. Floyd was a vice president at the Bank of the West in Sheridan, Wyo. He retired from banking after 30 years.

Floyd loved his children. He loved sailing, being a foster parent and barbecues. He was also one of the biggest Green Bay Packer fans around. Floyd always prided himself on his patriotism and honesty. He always said "what's wrong with this country today is that the people aren't patriotic." He was always a dependable and knowledgeable man. When we lost Floyd, we lost our Dad, Uncle, Friend and Hero.

He is survived by his daughters, Sandy (Gary) Kuhl of Phoenix and Tiffanie (Kelly) Christner of Sutherland; many nieces; nephews; grandchildren; great-grandchildren and friends.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Pearl; a son, Junior; and a daughter, Linda; and his parents.

A memorial has been established in his name.
