Audrey Norwood, 81, of Sheridan passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2011 at the Sheridan Manor.

Audrey was born October 15, 1930 in Sheridan, WY to parents Ruth and Berb (Case) Phillips. She was raised in the Sayle, MT area where her parents were ranchers. When attending grade school, Audrey and her mom would move to a little shack up the hill from the schoolhouse to be closer. Her dad would send chickens, turkeys, and a milk cow with them. She later lived with her grandmother in Sheridan while attending and graduating from Sheridan High School.

On November 14, 1947 Audrey married the love of her life Norman "Slim" Norwood and together they accidentally had four children; Dave, Gayle, Don, and Duane. She was a devoted wife and mother.

Audrey loved spending time with family and friends both at home and outdoors. She was a kind and caring person with a sharp wit. She especially enjoyed beating Don in scrabble, playing cards and dice, spending time on the mountains, and gardening.

Audrey is preceded is death by her parents, Ruth and Case, son Dave and granchild Charlie Lewis.

She is survived by her husband Norman and their children; Gayle, Don, and Duane, and granchildren; George Lytton and Bret Norwood all of Sheridan. She will be missed by all.

Services for Audrey will be held at 10:00 am on Wednesday, November 9, 2011 at Kane Funeral Home. Inurnment will take place at a later date.
