Helen Pauline MOORE Williams 1928 - 2015 SHS 1947

Helen Pauline Williams, 87, of Sheridan, passed away on Friday, December 4, 2015 at Sheridan Manor.

She was born October 4, 1928 in Sheridan, WY to George M. and Artie Jane (Bell) Moore. Helen graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947.

She married the love of her life, Harry D. Williams, Sr. on October 14, 1950 in Washington where he was stationed with the National Guard. Later after Harry left the service, they moved to Noonday mining camp in California, which is now nonexistence in Death Valley. During their time there they both made many lifelong friends.

Helen and Harry moved back to Sheridan in 1987 after his retirement. They both ran a motel here in town and also worked at Brown Drug as janitors. Helen was also, employed at the Silver Spur as a cook and Woolworth's store. Other employment included waitressing and bookkeeping. Later, she worked as a receptionist for a doctor's office and also, as a dental assistant. Helen enjoyed crocheting, ceramics, playing poker machines and cats, she also loved spending time with her friends, family, and great grand-children.

She is survived by her sons, Harry Dean (LouAnn) Williams, Jr. of Sheridan and Donald George (Donneta) Williams of Stonewall, OK; and her daughter, Linda Jo Heemeyer of Sheridan; six grandchildren, Harry "Dino", Bryan, Erin, Stacey, Devin and Candice; and 16 great-grandchildren.

Helen was preceded in death by her husband, Harry, parents, George and Artie Moore, brother, Claude Sorell, sister, Edna M. Calkins, one granddaughter, Christal Williams, and son-in-law, Todd Heemeyer.

Mom will be missed by many family, friends, and extended family. Until we meet again we love you mom.

A Graveside Service will take place the summer of 2016 in the Masonic Section at Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
