SHERIDAN -- Memorial services for Sarah J. Daniels, 78, will be at 2 p.m. today, July 15, 2008, at Champion Ferries Funeral Home with Father Thomas Ogg officiating.

Inurnment of cremains will be in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

She died on July 9, 2008, at her home in Sheridan.

She was born on Nov. 25, 1929, in Sheridan to Gardner and Anna (Eberhart) McAllister.

She grew up and attended schools in Sheridan County and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947.

She married Erminio “Tarp” Daniels on Dec. 18, 1949, in Sheridan.

She worked for Monarch Coal Company, was the office manager for Sears for many years, and worked for the Bank of Commerce and the Best Out West Mall.

She was a member of the Women’s Sewing Club and Class of ’47.

She enjoyed sewing, bingo and trips to Deadwood.

She loved being with her grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and family.

She is survived by her son, Gary of Alliance, Neb.; daughters, Sherry Laughton of Vancouver, Wash. and Sandra Dowdall of Flower Mound, Texas; sisters, Thelma Sellers of Aberdeen, Wash., and Mary McAllister of Sheridan, eight grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, in 2003; parents; brothers, William, Junior, David and Donald; and a sister, Mary Ann.
