SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Thad Warren Custis, an engineer with the U.S. Geological Water Survey since 1951, died Tuesday in his home in Cheyenne, Wyo. at age 52.

He was a son of Mr. and Mrs. George Washington Custis of Sheridan and a member of the Methodist Church.

In 1952 he married Virginia Luce.

A veteran of World War II and the Korean War, he was a member of the American Legion.

Survivors include his wife Virginia; a son, John of Casper, Wyo.; his mother Irene of Sheridan and two uncles.

Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Monday in Champion Funeral Home in Sheridan with burial in Municipal Cemetery.
