MOORCROFT - The body of Roy W. Carlson, 45, co-owner of Boyd's Supermarket in Gillette, was found here Monday. Crook County Sheriff John Peterson of Sundance said Carlson's body was found in a pickup truck on "D" Road, some 3.5 miles west of Moorcroft. Cause of death was from an apparently self-inflicted gunshot wound, authorities said, and Peterson said he found "some notes" in the vehicle.

Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m. Thursday at the First Presbyterian Church in Gillette, with the Rev. Harold Hurt officiating. Burial will be in Gillette Cemetery with Masonic graveside rites.

A memorial has been established at the Shrine Children's Hospital, in care of the Noecker Funeral Home in Gillette.

Survivors included the widow, Doris; two sons. Ronald and Michael; two daughters, Nikkl and Christine; and his mother, Mrs. Vera Carlson, all of Cillette; three brothers, Harold and Robert of Sheridan; and Gary of Rock Springs; and one grandson, of Cillette.
