Francis Harold “Bud” ALDEN 1928 - 2004 SHS 1947

GUERNSEY - Services for F. H. "Bud" Alden, 75, will be 2 p.m. April 20, at the General Spence National Guard Armory in Guernsey. Interment will be in the Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey. Military honors will be provided by the Guernsey VFW and the Wyoming Army National Guard.

He died from injuries sustained in an auto-pedestrian accident in Pahrump, Nev.

Born May 3, 1928 in Kalispell, Mont., he was the son of Rosamond and Harold Alden. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1947. He served in the United States Army with the Fourth Infantry Division during the Korean Conflict.

He married his high school sweetheart Dorothy Hamilton on May 21, 1951. He graduated from Montana State University with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Arts.

He and his wife of 52 years lived in Cheyenne from 1958 to 1971 when they moved to Guernsey.

He was a supervisor for Peter Kiewitt and Sons and retired after 28 years of service. Following his retirement, he ran a Windshield Doctor business in Platte and Goshen counties.

After their retirement, they enjoyed 18 years of extensive travel in the United States, Canada and Mexico.

He was a lifetime member of the American Legion and Veteran's of Foreign Wars. He was a member of the Guernsey United Presbyterian Church. He was an avid volunteer at the Trail Ruts Golf Course in Guernsey, Guernsey State Park and Preferred RV Park in Pahrump.

Survivors include his wife of Pahrump; three daughters, Kathy Wright and her husband, Vickie Bonham and her husband, and Mary Kay Bohnenblust and her husband, all of Cheyenne; and six grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, George "Sonny" Alden; and a sister, June Fagen.

Friends who wish may contribute to the Alzheimers Association or Guernsey United Presbyterian Church.

Following the services, a reception will be held for family and friends at the Guernsey United Presbyterian Church.

Services are under the direction of Wieder-spahn -Radomsky Chapel of the Chimes.
