Sheridan native Sally May Gilliland, 73, of Birney, Mont., died Monday, Jan. 28, 2002.

A celebration of her life will be 2 p.m. Saturday at the Elks Lodge in Sheridan. Family graveside services will be at a later date.

Mrs. Gilliland was born Sept. 22, 1928, in Sheridan to Henry and Dorothy Woodard. She was a graduate of Sheridan High School and attended the University of Montana in Missoula.

She married James Gilliland June 24, 1950, at the Three Circle Ranch in Birney. He preceded her in death.

Survivors include a son, James; a daughter, Sue M. Anderson of Parkman; and five grandchildren.

Memorials may be made to the Birney Church or the Elks Cemetery Fund in care of Delphine Toner at First Interstate Bank in Sheridan.
