SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Harold B. Sorvik moved to Fargo, N.D., in 1949 and worked for Cook Sign Co. He then traveled on his job with the Bureau of Reclamation before working for World Wide Pictures in Minneapolis, Minn. for three years. He returned to Sheridan, Wyo. in 1976 and worked as a clerk at the VA Medical Center until retiring in 1987.

He loved all sports and received many awards as Sheridan's preeminent sports fan.

Mr. Sorvik, 61, died Wednesday morning in Sheridan County Memorial Hospital of natural causes.

He was born in Nome, N.D., a son of Harold and Nina Sorvik. He was raised in North Dakota and graduated from Sheridan High School in 1946.

Survivors include a brother, Jack, and a sister, Harriet Axtel, both of Sheridan, Wyo.; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday in First United Methodist Church with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
