Ellen Wonderley, 90, passed away peacefully at her care facility in Medford on Monday, June 25, 2018.

Fairy Ellen Harper Robinson was born on Sept. 8, 1927 in Thermopolis, Wyo. to Fay Byron Harper and Mary Olive Custis Harper Robinson. She spent her youth in Sheridan, Wyo. with her two older brothers, Custis Fay Harper and Fredrick Harper, and graduated from Sheridan High School. She then attended business school in Denver, Colo.

Ellen and Stan Wonderley were married on May 29, 1949 in Denver, Colo. and moved to Coalinga, Calif. soon after where they raised their three daughters. They then moved to Lakeview in June of 1965 where they lived until Ellen moved to Medford to be in the care of her daughter, Glenda.

Ellen was known for her wit and sunny disposition and love for playing bridge. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church and worked part-time for the Lake Co. District Court and Lakeview Chamber of Commerce.

She was preceded in death by her husband Stanley Wonderley in 2013.

She is survived by: daughter, Glenda Christenson; daughters and sons-in-law, Georgia and Jim Torland and Gayle and George Demas; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

There will be a private memorial with her family at the home of Georgia Torland in The Dalles.
