Marian Velma (Bartholow) Krenzelok, 82 of Sheridan passed away peacefully with family by her side, Thursday, February 24, 2011 at Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Marian was born on July 15th, 1928 to George W. and Elizabeth V. (Campbell) Bartholow. She married Charles Lytrell Floate on November 28th, 1947. Charles died from the result of a railroad accident in July 1974. Of this union four children were born.

Marian served as United States Postmaster in Ulm, WY. from 1956-1960 at which time she and her family moved to Sheridan. She spent several years working as a waitress and Motel-head housekeeper. Most recently she worked as a seamstress at the former “A Stitch in Time”. Foremost, she was a loving mother and homemaker.

She loved her family dearly, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Reading was a favorite pastime, along with sewing and mending clothing for her children and grandchildren. She loved big band & polka music and dancing to it. She was a member of First United Methodist Church Circle #5 and a long time volunteer at their thrift store “The Closet”. She was a past member of the Ulm Hilltoppers, and current member of the Crimson Chateau Red Hats chapter. She enjoyed having lunch once a month with the gals from the Sheridan High School Class of 1946. Marian always made a special connection with everyone she came in contact with.

In 1982 Marian married Harry F. Schwartz former Sheridan City Attorney. He passed away from lung cancer in 1989. Marian then met Mel Krenzelok in 1993 and they were married October 15, 1994.

Marian is survived by her caring husband Mel, daughter Claudia (Dick) Hall and son Dennis L Floate of Sheridan, son Charles W (Ursula)Floate of Spokane, WA, son E. Alex (Lori) Floate of Meridian, ID, as well as step-children AJ (Jill) Krenzelok, Cheyenne, WY and Julie Krenzelok, Billings, MT, sisters Elsie Black of Mesquite, NV, Louise Ralston, Sheridan, Marge Bowman, Bismarck, ND, 14 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, several cousins, nieces and nephews, and her beloved Yorkie “Miss Abby”.

Marian was preceded in death by her parents and recently her sister Alice Evelyn Zimmerschied.

A Memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, March 1st at First United Methodist Church in Sheridan with lunch to follow. Cremation has taken place. Don Derryberry is officiating.

Memorials may be made in Marian’s name to Easter Seals, 991 Joe St. Sheridan, or First United Methodist Church, 215 W Works.
