James Richard "Dick" WRIGHT 1928 - 1978 SHS 1945

Feb. 17, 1928 - July 9, 1978.

SHERIDAN, Wyo. - James R. 'Dick' Wright, 50, a civil engineer, was killed Sunday by a fall from his roof.

Born in Sheridan, he was a son of Bernard and Leah Wright. In 1950 he married Frances Marie Byrtus. He was a graduate of the University of Wyoming and was a veteran of the Korean War.

He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Masonic Lodge, Kalis Shrine and was a commander in the Veterans of Foreign Wars at the time of his death.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Patrick of Sheridan, Richard of Wichita Falls, Tex., and James of Olathe, Kan.; two daughters, Cathy Trilli of Wichita Falls, and Teresa Hunter of Sheridan; a sister, Mary Alice Gunderson of Casper; his mother of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.

Services will be at 10 a.m. today in Champion Funeral Home with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
