H. Keith Williams Jr., 82, of Sheridan died Saturday, Nov. 7, 2009, in Westview Health Care Center.

Graveside service is 2 p.m. Thursday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Arden Haeffner officiating. Military rites are by the American Legion and Wyoming National Guard with arrangements by Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Born May 20, 1927, in Sheridan to Harold and Margret (Holder) Williams Sr., he graduated from Sheridan High School, enlisted in the U.S. Army, and served in Korea.

He married Lois Kay Buening on Aug. 16, 1959, in Red Lodge, Mont. They were divorced.

Mr. Williams ranched most of his life south of Sheridan.

He was a member of American Legion, a 4-H leader, and past vice president of Metz Ditch Co.

He enjoyed fishing, hunting, dancing, Western movies and country music.

He was preceded in death by a brother, Neal, and a sister, Darleen.

Survivors include a son, Mark of Sheridan; a daughter, Beth Gleason of Sheridan; two brothers, Robert of Cheyenne and Richard of Beaufort, S.C.; four grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
