Harry Lewis WADDELL 1927 - 1992 SHS 1945

SHERIDAN Services for Harry Waddell, 65, will be conducted Saturday at 1 1 a.m. at the Champion Funeral Home by Father John Norton with burial in the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Waddell died Sept. 2, 1992, at his home in Sheridan.

He was born June 18, 1927, in Sheridan, the son of John Jackson "J.J." and Alice (Tift) Waddell. He graduated from Sheridan High School in 1945, and enlisted in the U.S. Navy. H e traveled to Japan, China and Korea with the military.

On Oct. 15, 1949, he married Darlene Cecelia Bushmaker at Holy Name Catholic Church in Sheridan.

Mr. Waddell was employed for 25 years as a licensed nursing home administrator and a certified dietary manager at the Eventide Nursing Home.

He enjoyed hunting, gun collecting, making his own reloads, reading, and dancing.

A president of the Wyoming Health Care and the Wyoming Dietary Association, Mr. Waddell was a member of the Elk's BPOE No. 520, American Legion Post Waddefl No. 7 and a 25-year member of the Legion Drum and Bugle Corps. He was also a member of Holy Name Catholic Church.

Besides his wife, survivors include his wife, three daughters, Nanita A. Woolhiser of Louisville, Colo., Alicia M. Waddell of Billings, Mont., and Joella J. Johnson of Lancaster, Calif. Also surviving are three sisters, Betty Kuzara of Sheridan, Beverly White of Las Cruces, N.M., Donna Kearn of Grants Pass, Ore.; a brother, T.L. "Tom" Waddell of Safford, Ariz.; four granddaughters; and two grandsons.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his stepfather, Joseph Haney; two brothers, Jack J. and W.L. "Bill" Waddell; two half sisters, Gladys "Toots" Perry and Thelma Newbigging; two half brothers, Leo Waddell and J.F. "Fritz" Waddell; and one grandson, Troy A. Neisa.
