Gloria Margaret Dillon, 88, of Odessa, Missouri passed away on Wednesday, September 16, 2015 at the Golden Living Center surrounded by family.

A graveside service will be held at 12:00 p.m., Monday, September 21, 2015 at the Odessa Cemetery with Elder Duane Fieth officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., Monday, at the Ralph O. Jones Funeral Home, 306 S. 2nd St., Odessa, MO, 64076, 816-633-5524. Burial will be in the Odessa Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to AseraCare Hospice.

Margaret was born on April 4, 1927 in Hardin, Montana to Ralph J. and Dessa Marie (Randall) Shreve. She graduated from Sheridan, WY high school in 1945 then attended Graceland University.

On September 8, 1946 she married Emory Verne Dillon in Sheridan, WY. He preceded her in death on July 4, 1989. Margaret was a homemaker.

She was a member of the Odessa Restoration Branch. In addition to spending time with family she was a Women’s Leader, Music Director, Sunday School Teacher and VBS Director for the church. Margaret enjoyed corresponding by mail with cards and letters, she also ministered to inmates within the prison system by sending them literature from church.

Survivors include five children, Jane Hon of Lawrence, Kansas, Joyce Turner and husband Lee of Olathe, KS, Raymond Dillon and wife Nita of Odessa, MO, Rodney Dillon and wife Debbie of Independence, MO and Mervin Shreve and wife Alma of Jacksonville, Florida; 17 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband, Margaret was preceded in death by a son, Roger Dillon; three brothers, Harold Shreve, Eugene Shreve and Alvin Shreve; and three sisters, Janette Cherni, Merrilyn Cherni and a sister in infancy.
