Donald Lewis REED 1927 - 1995 SHS 1945

SHERIDAN - Memorial services for Donald Lewis Reed, 68, will lie conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church by Pastor Jerry Bernecker and Vicar Terry Daberkow. Committal services and interment of the cremains will follow at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Reed died Feb. 19, 1995, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

He was born Feb. 6, 1927, in Sheridan, the son of Lewis H. and Ollie M. Reed. He attended Sheridan schools, graduating from Sheridan High School in 1945.

He began his career in the auto body shop business with Andy Grotz Mr. Reed later started his own business, the Broadway Body Shop. He operated the business until his retirement.

On June 4, 1960, he married Thelma L. Comer in Sheridan. She died in 1986. On Nov. 13, 1993, he married Dorothy Uroszek.

Mr. Reed's hobbies included rock collecting, lapidary works, hunting, fishing and spending time at a mountain cabin. An accomplished marksman, he was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church.

Preceding him in death were his parents and two brothers.

Survivors include his wife; a brother, Willis Reed of Bridger, Mont; a stepson, Larry Uroszek; one stepdaughter, Linda Spielman; two nephews; and five step-grandchildren.

Memorials either to benefit Immanuel Lutheran Church, in care of Pastor Jerry Bernecker, 1300 W. 5th. St., Sheridan 82801; or to the American Cancer Society, care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, Sheridan 82801 would be appreciated.
