Eugene E. "Gene" PERKINS 1927 - 1969 SHS 1945

MILES CITY - Funeral services for Gene E. Perkins, 41, Miles City rancher, will be at 3: 30 p.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Graves Funeral Home, with Miles City Elks Lodge 537 in charge.

Burial will be in the Elks Cemetery in Sheridan, Wyo., at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Sheridan Elks Lodge in charge.

He died in a plane crash Sunday about 24 miles north of Vananda.

He was born June 14, 1927, at Sheridan, Wyo.

He married Charolette Fields in Sheridan on Nov. 29, 1947. They ranched near Hardin before coming to Miles City in 1963 and ranching on the Tongue River south of Miles City.

Survivors include the widow; two sons, Dean, a student at MSU in Bozeman, and Wayne, a junior at Custer County High School; his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Willis Perkins of Sheridan; his grandmother, Mrs. Myra Harris of Sheridan; a brother, Willis W. of Sheridan; three sisters, Mrs. Ruth Gibbons of Billings, Mrs. Sue Fitzpatrick of Sheridan, and Mrs. Jim Hamilton of Decker.
