Joan M. Skinner of Lakewood, a teacher, died Jan. 5. She was 72.

Services were Jan. 15 at her home. There was cremation.

She was born May 6, 1927, in Sheridan, Wyo.

On Sept. 9, 1947, she married Henry R. Skinner in Sheridan.

She earned a degree in education from the University of Denver. She taught fourth-grade students at Mark Hopkins Elementary in Littleton before she retired in 1982. She operated Weekend Traders Antiques with her husband.

She is survived by her husband; two sons, Henry Jr., Empire, and Charles, Lakewood; a daughter, Colleen Aldridge, Lakewood; two grandsons; and one great-grandson. Contributions may be made to Maxfund, 965 Galapago St., Denver 80204.
