Carol Hurst McGlothlin, 76, of Sheridan died Friday, May 21, 2004, in Ivinson Memorial Hospital in Laramie.

Cremation has taken place and at her request no services are planned. Interment will be in the St. Peter's Episcopal Church columbarium. Arrangements are with Stryker Funeral Home in Laramie.

Mrs. Hurst was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Sheridan to Thomas J. and Vera Mae (Kooi) Hurst. She was a 1945 graduate of Sheridan High School and a 1949 graduate of Northwestern University.

She worked for the Long Beach, Calif., school system before retiring to Ashland, Ore. She moved to Sheridan in 1992.

She was preceded in death by two sisters, Jean Conant and Elaine Andrews.

Survivors include a son, Scott Alan McGlothin; two sisters, Mary McEwan of Story and Barbara McConnell of Colorado Springs, Colo.; and a brother, Thomas K. Hurst of Sheridan.

Memorials may be made to the Sheridan Senior Center or St. Peter's Epsicopal Church.
