On June 12, 2003, after a lengthy illness, Roberta "Bobbie" Mathers Carpenter was called home by her Lord to join her husband of 53 years, Robert Douglas Carpenter, who preceded her in death on January 16, 2002.

Roberta "Bobbie" Mathers Carpenter was born in Casper, Wyoming on May 6, 1927, to Andrew and Marvel Mathers.

She is survived by her sons, Douglas Carpenter and wife Jan, Paul Carpenter and wife Leonora; step-son, Peter Carpenter and wife Connie; brother, Glen T. Mathers; grandchildren, Stephen Carpenter, Natalie Carpenter, Nicole Carpenter, Chad Carpenter, Stacy Carpenter, and Kimberly Hayes; great grandchildren, Christian Carpenter, Christopher Carpenter, Aidan Carpenter, and Claire Carpenter.

A memorial service will be held on Monday, June 16, 2003 at 11 a.m. at the Security First Baptist Church, 21158 Hwy 105 East with Pastor Tony Moye officiating.
