OBITUARIES - CASPER STAR-TRIBUNE - December 23 2004

SHERIDAN -- Funeral services for Sheridan resident Rose Buszkiewic, 79, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 27, at Kane Funeral Home of Sheridan by the Rev. Ron Stolcis. Interment will follow in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 26.

She died Dec. 21, 2004, at Memorial Hospital of Sheridan County.

Born May 18, 1925, in Acme, she was the daughter of George and Mary (Kawulok) Legerski; attended Acme Grade School; and graduated from Sheridan High School.

On Sept. 28, 1947, she married George J. Buszkiewic at St. Thomas Church in Monarch.

They made their home on the family ranch on Ash Creek.

Her interests included flowers and gardening, feeding and watching the birds, and spending time in her kitchen cooking and baking. She loved spending time with her animals, especially her faithful dog, Lucky; and the country life and its peacefulness.

She was a member of St. Edmonds Catholic Church of Ranchester and a past member of Tongue River Women's Club.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Vanatta, and her husband of Ash Creek; son, George E. Buszkiewic, and his wife of Sheridan; five brothers, Joe, George, Frank, Ted and Anton Legerski; sister, Agnes Fletcher; three step-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, three brothers and three sisters.
