Funeral services for Esther Goble, 84 year old former long time Buffalo resident who passed away Wednesday afternoon at the Bonaventure Assisted Living Center in Billings, Montana, will be held Tuesday, April 2nd at 2:00 p.m. from the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Father Doug Wasinger officiating. Visitation will be held from the Funeral Home on Monday from 1:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. Burial will be in Willow Grove Cemetery with graveside services to follow the funeral.

Donations in Esther's memory may be made to the St. Luke's Episcopal Church or the American Lung Association in care of the Adams Funeral Home at 351 N. Adams in Buffalo.

Esther K. Goble, was born on May 1, 1928 in Sheridan, Wyoming to Norwegian immigrant parents, Ole and Inger Bu' Kaldestad. She lived in Buffalo until she was 15 when she moved to Sheridan with her parents. She graduated from Sheridan High School and completed the first two years of her college at St. Olaf, in Northfield, Minnesota. She then transferred to Denver University where she received both teaching certification and a degree in Psychology in 1950.

She was married on June 28th, 1950 in Sheridan to George Edward Goble and they made their home in Sheridan where George worked for the Game and Fish and Esther, along with being a mom, loved being a substitute teacher. George was transferred to Torrington and they made their home in Lingle, Wyoming for the next 21 years. They were then transferred to Worland with the U.S. Soil Conservation Service, where they spent 7 years before retiring and moving back to Buffalo in 1976.

Mr. Goble passed away in April of 1995 and Esther continued living in Buffalo. She later moved to Billings to live in an assisted living center where she lived until the time of her death.

Esther spent five years serving as a board member on the Goshen County School Board and had many wonderful years in Lingle, where she enjoyed having coffee with the ladies and playing couple's Bridge. "Estie" was a real people person and had many friends where ever she lived. She loved life and being involved. Her finest moments were being a wife, mom and later a grandmother and great-grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Shelhamer and her husband John of Billings and Kathy Heinrich and her husband Curt of Fort Collins, Colorado; one son Edward Goble and his wife Caroline of Austin, Texas; granddaughters, Michelle Dowler and her husband Justin, and Steffanie McGowan and her husband Casey all of Billings; and grandsons, Kyle Heinrich of Fort Collins, Colorado, J.T. Goble and his wife Kristen and Jeremy Goble all of Austin Texas; and six great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
