Oline HERRMAN Green Wiederrick 1927 - 2016 SHS 1945

GREAT FALLS â€"Oline Wiederrick, 88, of Great Falls, passed away on March 21, 2016.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Heritage Baptist Church. Cremation has taken place under the direction of Schnider Funeral Home.

Oline was born on June 19, 1927 to Adolph and Reta (Olsen) Herrman in Sheridan, Wyoming. She graduated from Sheridan High School in 1945. She met her husband, Larry Green in high school, but he didn't start courting her until after they graduated. They were married a short time later. Within a few years of having their first child Randy, Larry's job as an air traffic controller brought them to Denver, Colorado where a second child, Cindee was born. After a brief stay in Colorado, the family moved to Great Falls and completed their family with a third child, Bonnie.

Oline settled in Belt permanently, where she owned and operated the Fort Ponderosa Campground and RV Park. She spent the better part of her years in Belt, until she relocated to Great Falls to be closer to family. She started working at Morningside Elementary School for the next 16 years. She discovered her true calling as a foster grandmother until she retired in 2014.

Oline's final wishes are to be returned to Sheridan to be buried between her parents and with the rest of her family.

A special thanks to Dr. Grant Harrer whose excellent medical care helped her to enjoy a long and fulfilling life and to the staff at Morningside, including Bill Salonen and Melody, as well as the hundreds of kids who called her "Grandma W." Above all her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

She will be sorely missed by everyone whose life she touched. Her humor, quick wit, and colorful personality could light up any room.

Oline is preceded in death by many loving family members, including Doug and Brian McLean.

Oline is survived by her son, Randy (Lori) Green of Minnesota; daughters Cindee (Paul) Green of Great Falls and Bonnie Green of Gillette, WY; sister Alice McLean of Longmont, CO; grandchildren Matthew, Jamie, Nikki, Tori, McKenzie, Brandon, and Jerre Jae; great-grandchildren Eden and Declan; her nieces who were like daughters, Debbie, Susan, and Lori; and her loving companions, Izzie and Bebe.

Memorials in her name may be made to Morningside Elementary School, 4119 7th Ave N, Great Falls, MT 59401.
