Lillian M. Keahey, 81, of Sheridan died Tuesday, Aug. 25, 2009, in Sheridan Memorial Hospital.

Graveside service is 2 p.m. Friday in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery with the Rev. Scott Lee officiating. Arrangements are with Champion Ferries Funeral Home.

Born Nov. 3, 1927, in Sheridan to Jesse and Anna (Hoffman) Ekis, she grew up and graduated from high school here and also graduated from Heiman’s Business College.

She married Bruce E. Keahey on June 26, 1949.

They lived in Sheridan, where she was credit manager of Montgomery Ward until her retirement. After retirement, she joined her husband and son at Bruce's Standard until 1995.

Mrs. Keahey enjoyed fishing in the mountains, embroidering and cooking.

She was a member of McCormick Homemakers Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband and two brothers.

Survivors include a son, Bruce of Sheridan; a daughter, Cheryle Haworth of Fort Collins, Colo.; a brother, Bernard Ekis of Sheridan; a sister, Nancy Favero of Sheridan; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.

Memorials may benefit Bethesda Worship Center, Senior Citizens Center or donor's choice.
