Edward Lloyd EKIS 1921 - 1981 SHS 1945

SHERIDAN - Services for Edward Lloyd Ekis, 59, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday at the Champion Funeral Home. The Rev. Robert C. Varker of the Methodist Church will officiate with burial In the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.

Mr. Ekis died Aug. 3, 1981, at the Veterans Hospital in Sheridan.

He was born Nov. 29, 1921, at Dietz, Wyo. , and was the son of Charles and Anna Ekis.

Mr. Ekis was a golf pro at the Sheridan Country Club and the Casper City Golf Club for eight years; and at Belen, N. Mex. for ten years before moving to Sheridan.

He was a member of the Professional Golfers Association of America (PGA) and the Methodist Church.

Mr. Ekis was a World War II Navy veteran.

He married Alberta Wondra on Sept. 25, 1943, at Billings, Mont.

Besides his wife, he Is survived by three children, Edward A. Ekis of Phoenix, Ariz., Gary L. Ekis of Belen and Diana K. Bolles of Casper; his mother, Anna Ekis of Sheridan; two brothers and two sisters, Fred Chase and Bernard Ekis, Lillian Keahey and Nancy Favero, all of Sheridan; and one granddaughter.

Memorials to the American Diabetes Association in care of Rose Marie Madia, Bank of Commerce, Sheridan, would be appreciated by the family.
