Fred Theodore YONKEE Jr. 1927 - 1978 SHS 1944

SHERIDAN - Funeral services for Fred T. Yonkee Jr., 50, were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the Congregational Church in Broadus, Mont.

Yonkee died Monday at his ranch home at Otter, Mont

He was born on Aug. 5, 1927, at Sheridan and was the son of Fred T. and Lillian Yonkee, Wyoming pioneers. Yonkee was a rancher and was also a licensed investment counselor and Insurance salesman for the state of Montana. He was also Powder River County chairman of the Republican Party In Montana. He was a University of Wyoming graduate.

On Aug. 20, 1950, he married Nancy Gates at Gillette.

Yonkee was a member of the Masonic Lodge, the Gillette Elks Lodge the Methodist Church.

He was preceded In death by his father in I960.

Survivors are his wife, Nancy; and four daughters, Carol, Terr! and Lisa, all of the family home in Broadus, and Mrs. Robert (Linda) Carey of Gillette; bis mother, Mrs. Lillian Galloway; and one brother, Larry Yonkee, both of Sheridan; and two grandchildren.

Burial was In Valley View Cemetery in Broadus with Masonic graveside rites.

Memorials to a charity of the donor's choice or the High School Senior Scholarship Fund In care of the Powder River County Bank at Broadus would be equally appreciated by the family.

The Champion Funeral Home of Sheridan was in charge of arrangements.
