Bonnie Jean SMITH Cotton 1926 - 1993 SHS 1944

SHERIDAN - Services for Bonnie Jean Cotton, 66, will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Ferries Funeral Home by Rev. Vincle Burnett. Burial will be at the Sheridan Municipal Cemetery, Elks section.

Mrs. Cotton died July 24, 1 993, at Sheridan County Memorial Hospital following a long illness with cancer.

She was born Aug. 2, 1926, in Sheridan, to Ella (Smith) Sutherland and the late Harold I. Smith. She graduated from Sheridan High School in May of 1944.

On April 25, 1944, she married George J. Cotton.

Mrs. Cotton worked as a bookkeeper at Northern Ice and Produce. Cashway Lumber Company, Sheridan Credit Bureau and Northern Seed Company.

She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of Veterans of Foreign Wars No. 1560, Navy Mothers Club No. 72 and a member of Fellowship Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband and mother, two daughters, Georgia J. and April B. Cotton; three sons, George D. "Sam." LeRoy and John Cotton, all of Sheridan; and two sisters. Eleanor Troutt of Sheridan and Marion Zowada of Bellingham. Wash. Also surviving are eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials to benefit the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary Cancer Fund would be appreciated and may be made in care of Dclphine Toner, First Interstate Bank of Sheridan.

The Ferries Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
