SHERIDAN, Wyo. - Edmund Harold "Bud" Skar worked at the Mills Co. for 38 years and for the last three and a half years was a realtor for Carroll Realty.

He served for many years on the PRCA Rodeo Board as a secretary and president and also served on the Sheridan City Council.

He enjoyed the mountains, fishing, hunting, horses and rodeoing.

He was a member of Elks Lodge, Sportsmen Club and Junior Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Skar, 63, died Tuesday in Deaconess Medical Center in Billings after a short illness.

A son of Andrew and Ruth Myers Skar, he was born and educated in Sheridan, graduating in 1944.

He served in the U.S. Air Force and was stationed at Marfa, Texas.

On Feb. 1, 1948, he married Jacquelyn Ferren in Sheridan.

Survivors include his wife; two daughters, Paula Jones of Minerva, Ohio, and Carol Machalk of Parker, Colo.; a sister, Bea Schneider of Banville, Ky.; and three grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place. Memorial services will be at 10 a.m. Friday in First Christian Church with burial in Sheridan Municipal Cemetery.
