Helen PEDULA Crosby 1924 - 1999 SHS 1944

SHERIDAN - Services for Helen Crosby, 74, will be held at 6 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home with the Rev. Joe Kristufek officiating. Graveside services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday. Visitation is from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. today at Champion Funeral Home.

She died Jan. 29, 1999, at Sheridan Manor.

She was born July 3, 1924, in Sheridan, the daughter of Frank and Elizabeth (Mediate) Pedula. She was raised in Sheridan and graduated from Sheridan High School.

She married Charles R. Crosby in Hardin, Mont., on July 21, 1943. He preceded her in death on Jan. 6, 1995.

Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her children and grandchildren. She enjoyed playing bingo, crocheting, gardening and going fishing.

She was a member of the Eagles Lodge No. 186 Auxiliary, the American Legion Auxiliary, the VFW Auxiliary and Holy Name Church.

She was a cook at various restaurants In Sheridan and then was the head cook at Sheridan High School for many years before retiring.

Survivors Include three daughters, Charlene Foster, Valerie Klllworth and Nancy Lancor, all of Sheridan; one son, Jim Crosby of Glendale, Ariz.; one sister, Rosie Wolfe of Sheridan; 13 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

Memorials In her memory may be designated to the American Lung Association, the American Heart Association or a charity of the donor's choice, In care of Delphine Toner, First Interstate Bank, P.O. Box 2007, Sheridan, 82801.
